The Church in the Community


The church plays an active role in the local community. Besides worship facilities, a weekly fellowship and bible study meeting, house group and a caring ministry the church supports a wide variety of other activities.

  1. Tuesday 12-30pm sees OPEN DOOR where you can gather for a simple lunch and chat. At 2-30pm There is either Ladies Meeting(now includes men) or Bible study.
    1. It is one home of I.B.E.X.The Church in INDUSTRY, for Business, for Economy and X representing the Church.
    2. The Church provides a caring ministry to both its members and students who worship with us, including inviting students from Home & Overseas into our homes for meals and acting as local families.
    3. Outreach has a full Boy's Brigade Company.
    4. Runs the Swaythling Youth Project
      5. which a present has the equivalent of 3 full time paid professional detached youth workers, covering Swaythling, Hampton Park, Bassett Green & Mansbridge.

    In addition our premises are home to many other activities :-

    1. E.M.Jay School of Dancing.
    2. Red Stag Morris Group.
